5am!!!

It sounds like a man is in my attic dragging something heavy.

But I know it’s not a man because there is not enough space above my bedroom ceiling for that. What could it be?!?! I’m freaked out! I’m half asleep. No where to go because it’s 5am. This goes on for about 1 1/2 hours is the wee hours of Thursday morning. I’m late for work because I finally did fall asleep but then I over slept because I was so tired.

Same thing Friday at 5am. Thankfully it only lasted about 10 minutes this time and they were not very loud.

Now I’m trying to figure out how to get them out myself so I don’t have to pay the pest man $325 - ouch! I’m going to surveillance them tonight – like a spy. I need to figure out if the babies come out with the momma at night or if the momma comes out alone.

I think I can throw moth balls in their space to get them to leave – or so says a website I was reading.

The scariest part about the whole thing is that if I had not had the office door closed and the living room doors taped over, the raccoon could have actually gotten to where I was and jumped me in the bed while I was sleep! Oh crap! Now I just realized they could come down the open space it the kitchen where the stove vent hood is missing. I’ll get my dad to board that up first thing night!

What a week this has been! I feel the full onset of the enemy’s attack on me this week. My character is being tested every hour. Will I fail? Will I fall? Will I sin? Will I disappoint God?

I never understood from full experience the scripture about building your “house” on a rock (Matthew 7:24- 27). I think this is the most solid I’ve been on the rock of God when being hit by a storm. (ok, so maybe I snapped once at somebody. shame on me. I should appoligize huh? yeah.) Being so firmly planted in the Lord has made a difference.

Now don’t get me wrong…I was still very much irritable, and impatient, and bottled with - not anger - but high irritation. My blood pressure was probably through the roof all week. However, it was how I chose to deal with it. I didn’t let it out on the world. I either kept it bottled in and prayed it to God, or I ran and hide from the world till it passed. LOL

Usually stress it the quickest thing to knock me off my rock. Oh, I swayed a lot in the storm this week, but I stayed planted.

So I’ve broken every cardinal rule for blogging. It’s been 2 months since my last blog. I just haven’t gotten used to this blog thing. I’ve had so much going on and just haven’t thought about it.

Great things are happening in my life and at the same time, things I’ve hated about my life are still here. I’m learning to be content about it because it’s obvious God has a reason for allowing certain situations to remain. As I’m learning to be content in all situations, I’m becoming more happy and feeling less bogged down.

I’m really starting to question my purchase of a Seagate external hard drive I had bought in April.  It crashed a couple weeks ago - hard.  It’s gone - breathed its last breathe. So today I called Seagate to get it replaced under warranty…their computer system was down, “Could you please call back in 3 hours?”  Ummm…no. Well ok, I don’t have a choice.  I called back and I didn’t have my correct information so I had to call back a third time - the system was down AGAIN.

If a computer company can’t even keep their own computer system up and running during business hours…one has to question the reliablity of their computer products.

Moral of this story…Seagate BAAADDDD!!!
